894 documents from the Centre de Documentació Juvenil in order of height On April 23; Daniel Jacoby, 2008

894 documents from the Centre de Documentació Juvenil in order of height On April 23, 2008,

894 documents (books, CDs, DVDs, etc.) were transferred from the Centre de Documentació Juvenil to the showroom to be sorted according to a non-established parameter: the height of the volumes, highest to lowest. In the adjacent wall, were written the names of all documents in the order they were originally sorted in the documentation centre. The next day, once Exposició num. 2 (Sala d'Art Jove, Barcelona) was opened, the books were taken back to their place, leaving only a black "shadow" on the wall marking the surface occupied by the documents. The number of documents corresponds to the amount needed to fill the room wall to wall (13.1 m).
